However, the  main message is our speciality: Bekina has been manufacturing  boots for 50 years now , 20 years of which specialising  in polyurethane boots!

Bekina may definitely be called an Xpert in the field: power, passion and technical know-how merge in our products, fully meeting the ever higher requirements of safety boots.

2012 is an anniversary year and we look forward to celebrating this with you….

Like every year, the Innovation Awards Préventica/Prévent’Ouest reward the best initiatives in terms of risk prevention. In several categories (such as consulting/training, hygiene/cleanliness, transportation/ logistics, ...) a panel of judges chooses the best.

Bekina was awarded in the category 'Personal protective equipment'. The winner is our youngest model Steplite X!

During our first participation, approx 2.000 end-users have visited our stand to get to know our newest model, the "Steplite X".

The first comments were all very positive and also in Germany, Bekina enjoys a good brand reputation. It's nice to note that our Agrilite boots are being seen as one of the best boots on the market.

And now, we're already preparing the next fair, Agriflanders, where we can, finally also present our Steplite X to the public in our home country. See you in Ghent!

54th Annual Congress of the International Federation of Agricultural Journalists (IFAJ)

Ostend, Belgium – April 17 -21, 2010

 

Bekina is a premium sponsor of the congress of the IFAJ, International Federation of Agricultural Journalists. The theme of the congress is ‘Between passion & pressure’. Everyday, the farmers face the pressures of the environment, the climate, diseases and pests, the market, the consumer and the public opinion.  What drives these people? The love and respect for nature, plants and animals. The love for their job.

Belgian agriculture is known for its great product diversity, from vegetable and ornamental plant cultivation to animal husbandry and arable crops. Belgium has the richest sugar beet fields of Europe and has acquired a worldwide reputation for its Belgian Bleu cattle, Belgian endive, Brussels sprouts, Belgian pork, etc…  

Since this congress  is organized in Belgium, Bekina can not be missed at an event like this.

It is not the first time a container of boots leaves to one of the less developed countries. How can a production company that is still producing here in Belgium donate full containers to charity?
Georges Vanderbeke, CEO:  “A small percentage of our products are rejected due to flaws. That does not change the quality of the boots, but they can’t go to our usual outlets.”
Bekina has a good contact with one of the aid organizations that have been active in Peru. As soon as two days after the first heavy rains came the cry for the next container.
Georges Vanderbeke: “For us this is an extra cost, but that does not weigh against the gratitude of local people.”
Bekina will also contact other aid organizations to start a similar cooperation for Haiti and find a way to contribute there as well.
