1. Standard for safety
Since 1993 a uniform standard for safety, protective and special work shoes for industrial purposes has been in force throughout Europe. The standards for Bekina PU boots are
- EN ISO 20345 / DIN EN 345-1 = specifications for safety boots
- EN ISO 20347 / DIN EN 347-1 = specifications for special work boots
2. The difference between safety boots and special work boots
Safety Boots
Boots protecting the wearer from injury.
Special safety feature: steel toecap with a protective efficiency measured at an energy level of 200 joules.
Special work boots (occupational)
Boots protecting the wearer from injury.
Special feature: without toecap, but with skid-resistant, anti-static or other similar characteristics
